The PDGA or Pro Disc Golf Association is the governing body for the sport of Disc Golf. The PDGA sets rigorous standards for baskets and approves qualified baskets at three levels.

• Championship Level - Highest level of quality, durability, and workmanship. Can be used at even the highest tier tournaments and usually has more than 18 chains to catch the disc.
• Standard Level - Medium grade structure and quality. Usually has 18 chains or more to catch the disc.
• Basic Level - The lowest approval level out of the baskets that make PDGA approval. These baskets often times have less than 18 chains and are made for those with smaller budgets.
